Quebec city airport is a strange airport to get too. Its a small airport about 30 – 40 minutes taxi ride from downtown Quebec City.
There is no public transport to the airport from the city, no bus, no rail, i was told there was a bus but it was unreliable and did not drop you anywhere near the city.
As our flight was at 6:30am we decided it would be best to take a taxi and deal with the 45 CAD charge for this, we are big fans of public transport or airport rail links and a taxi is always our last option.

We arrived at around 5:00am and had it was no surprise that the airport was pretty much dead. Check in with westjet was great and the customer service rep at the check in desk was very pleasant. He handed us our boarding passes and we looked for coffee.
There was just one place open for breakfast at this time so we headed for the much loved time hortons and grabbed a coffee, we could see the security line was completely empty from where we were sitting so we did not rush.

We were called on time for boarding and everyone found their seats very quickly, the first thing that really impressed me with Westjet was the fact that this flight was only just over 1 hour and we had AVOD on board to view, i found my seat quickly and settled in for the flight.

The leg room was fine for a 1 hour flight.

The take off was very smooth and we climbed out and made our way to Toronto. One thing that i did notice on this particular flight was the altitude, i had seen some high altitude trips on this flight on flightaware a few days before and thought that it might be the weather. I was wrong as the weather on this trip was near perfect most of the way, so it was impressive to be flying this high for such a short flight.

The decent into Toronto was a bit bumpy as it was very overcast and we had heard it had been raining all morning. The staff at westjet were very friendly and we had a great flight.
